Now hiring: we are hiring a meat trimmer in Schuyler County, New York. You will be based in a meat processing plant. On a typical shift you will run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; season and marinate meat on request; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain. You should have: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
