Now hiring: trowel-trade bricklayer (Missouri)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Laclede County, Missouri. You will work on a new-build development. Day-to-day duties: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go You should have: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
