Marble cutter — City of Williamsburg

Vacancy available: we are hiring a marble cutter in City of Williamsburg, Virginia. You will be based on a residential building site. Ideal candidate: • Steady hand for edge profiling and a fine polished finish • 2+ years' experience working with marble, granite and natural stone • Own hand tools an advantage Day to day you will grind and hone uneven floors flat before the final polish; level and align slabs so joints stay tight and surfaces sit flat; polish stone surfaces to a high gloss using diamond pads and polishing compound; lift and handle heavy slabs safely using suction lifters and trolleys; fill cracks, chips and open veins with colour-matched epoxy resin; lay marble tiles and slabs on floors, stairs and walls with adhesive mortar. Full-time, day shift. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
