Sheet metal welder wanted in Ness County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Ness County, Kansas. The job is on a structural steel site. Day to day you will select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
