On the job you will handle: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Read lift plans and method statements before starting Requirements: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
