Now hiring: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Floyd County, Texas. You will work on a high-rise building site. What we are looking for: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness On a typical shift you will rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift.
