What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height On a typical shift you will carry out 6G pipe welds where required; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. $4,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
