Head butcher • Hancock County, Iowa

Immediate opening: we are hiring a head butcher in Hancock County, Iowa. You will work at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. On a typical shift you will season and marinate meat on request; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools. What we are looking for: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers We offer $19 per hour plus benefits.
