Now hiring: we are hiring a shuttering fixer in Alachua County, Florida. You will work at an infrastructure construction site. You should have: • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules Day to day you will watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement; apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting; check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour; set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking. At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. We offer $5,200 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
