Ideal candidate: • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop • Driving licence for measure-up and site-fitting visits • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads Day-to-day duties: • Fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails • Rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router • Fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash • Clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash • Crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame • Check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals 4+ years on the tools preferred.
