Trowel-trade bricklayer • Marengo County, Alabama

Join our team: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Marengo County, Alabama. You will be based on a new-build development. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks You will mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
