Join our team: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Hancock County, Indiana. Day to day you will clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Able to pass a weld test on the spot At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
