Immediate opening: site safety steward (New York)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a site safety steward in Sullivan County, New York. You will be based on a road and infrastructure project. Requirements: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate The role involves run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift.
