Ironing operator wanted in Orkney Islands

Immediate opening: we are hiring an ironing operator in Orkney Islands, Scotland. You will be based at a dry cleaner's. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Day-to-day duties: • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Give each garment a final press before packing • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
