Great opportunity: we are hiring a banksman in Posey County, Indiana. The job is at a shipyard. What we are looking for: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Day-to-day duties: • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings $31 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
