We are recruiting: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Boyd County, Kentucky. You will work on a high-rise building project. Ideal candidate: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations The role involves: • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
