Spray painter (automotive) — Onslow County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a spray painter (automotive) in Onslow County, North Carolina. You will work in an automotive paint and panel workshop. The role involves: • Prime and seal bare metal to stop rust • Wet-sand and buff out runs, orange peel and dust nibs • Compound and polish the cured finish to a high gloss • Strip clean the spray guns and change the booth filters • Check the colour match under booth lights against the maker's swatch • Sand and feather-edge damaged panels before painting Requirements: • Sound knowledge of 2K paints, primers and hardeners • Skilled with HVLP and gravity-feed spray guns • Able to mix paint by weight on a scale Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Pay around $30 per hour, based on your experience. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
