Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Livingston Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces The role involves inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent. 4+ years on the tools preferred. $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
