Crane rigger wanted in Beauregard Parish

Immediate opening: we are hiring a crane rigger in Beauregard Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a heavy machinery workshop. You will carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift. What we are looking for: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites 5+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $4,800 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
