Now hiring: we are hiring a HSE officer in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico. Requirements: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot You will inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. We offer $3,300 per month plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
