We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welder in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana. The role involves grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges. What we are looking for: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $4,800 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
