GTAW welder — Cherokee County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Cherokee County, Oklahoma. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. Your main tasks: • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Full-time with occasional weekends.
