Vacancy available: pastry baker (Northern Ireland)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a pastry baker in Derry City and Strabane, Northern Ireland. The role involves keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards; load and unload the deck oven with a peel; decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream; laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter; boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity. Requirements: • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
