Great opportunity: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Kenton County, Kentucky. The job is on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. Your main tasks: • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench What we are looking for: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Six days a week, one day off.
