Now hiring: we are hiring an escalator technician in Pike County, Indiana. The job is in a hospital with heavy lift traffic. Day-to-day duties: • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
