Automotive paint technician — Cayuga County

Now hiring: we are hiring an automotive paint technician in Cayuga County, New York. You will work in a spray booth. Your main tasks: • Set the spray gun air pressure and fan pattern for an even finish • Apply primer, base coat and clear coat with an HVLP spray gun • Compound and polish the cured finish to a high gloss • Mix and tint paint to match the customer's colour code • Mask off trim, glass and rubber seals with tape and paper • Wet-sand and buff out runs, orange peel and dust nibs You should have: • Sound knowledge of 2K paints, primers and hardeners • Able to mix paint by weight on a scale • Comfortable working in a spray booth with full PPE Full-time, day shift.
