Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Meade County, Kansas. You will work on an industrial construction site. Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings The role involves: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion Full-time, day shift. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
