Join our team: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Sumter County, South Carolina. The job is at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Willing to work shifts and overtime The role involves: • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead 4+ years on the tools preferred.
