Heavy equipment operator wanted in South Central Connecticut Planning Region

We are recruiting: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in South Central Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. You will be based in an open-cast mine. What we are looking for: • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery • Understanding of safe digging near underground services Day-to-day duties: • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles Part-time with flexible hours.
