Immediate opening: we are hiring a head baker in Greene County, Iowa. The role involves: • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Roll out short-crust and biscuit dough • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight You should have: • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Able to work early-morning and night shifts • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
