Sheet metal welder wanted in Gage County

Now hiring: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Gage County, Nebraska. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Day-to-day duties: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer What we are looking for: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Performance bonus on top of base pay.
