Join our team: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Putnam County, New York. Day to day you will hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; read and interpret the load chart before every lift; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands. You should have: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
