Requirements: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances The role involves back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions.
