GTAW welder — City of Manassas Park

Immediate opening: we are hiring a GTAW welder in City of Manassas Park, Virginia. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing You should have: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard 1+ years on the tools preferred.
