We are recruiting: we are hiring a machinist in Moore County, North Carolina. On a typical shift you will inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation. Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory 6+ years on the tools preferred.
