Vacancy available: we are hiring a moulder in Fairbanks North Star Borough, Alaska. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Your main tasks: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces Full-time with occasional weekends.
