Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Appomattox County, Virginia. You will be based on a road and infrastructure project. Ideal candidate: • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot You will run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
