GMAW welder • Grant County, Wisconsin

Vacancy available: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Grant County, Wisconsin. The job is at a steel fabrication workshop. On the job you will handle: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch You should have: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently We offer $3,800 per month plus benefits.
