Metal caster — Fayette County

Now hiring: we are hiring a metal caster in Fayette County, Alabama. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. On the job you will handle: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects What we are looking for: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal 4+ years on the tools preferred.
