We are recruiting: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Adams County, Illinois. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols On the job you will handle: • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. We offer $3,900 per month plus benefits. Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
