Now hiring: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Lincolnshire, England. Ideal candidate: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently On a typical shift you will set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required.
