Immediate opening: truck driver (Alabama)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a truck driver in Elmore County, Alabama. What we are looking for: • Valid HGV/LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence • Physically fit for long hours behind the wheel • Minimum 2 years' long-haul experience Day-to-day duties: • Report defects and book the unit in for servicing • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock • Present documents at weighbridges and check posts • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars • Operate tail-lifts and pump trucks during loading and unloading • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load $27 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
