Requirements: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding The role involves TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size.
