Garment machinist • Allegany County, New York

Great opportunity: we are hiring a garment machinist in Allegany County, New York. You should have: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Day-to-day duties: • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation 6+ years on the tools preferred. $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
