Immediate opening: we are hiring a ceiling and wall plasterer in Hardin County, Iowa. You will work on a busy domestic building site. On the job you will handle: • Set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work • Skim plasterboard to a smooth finish ready for decoration • Fix and set angle beads, stop beads and corner beads • Apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork • Apply scratch coats and key the surface for the next coat • Float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge Ideal candidate: • Proven experience hand-skimming and floating to a flat finish • Able to read drawings and set out work to a deadline At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. We offer $3,000 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
