Immediate opening: we are hiring a power float operator in Borough of Torbay, England. Ideal candidate: • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE Day to day you will patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout; fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer; discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
