Join our team: we are hiring a tig welder in Dickinson County, Iowa. Requirements: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Day to day you will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; carry out 6G pipe welds where required.
