Vacancy available: we are hiring a sample machinist in Chester County, South Carolina. You will work at a knitwear stitching unit. On the job you will handle: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
