Immediate opening: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Bethel Census Area, Alaska. You should have: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate The role involves: • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
