Immediate opening: steam press operator (Scotland)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a steam press operator in Eilean Siar, Scotland. You will work in a busy laundry. You will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments. You should have: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Pay around £80 per day, based on your experience.
